Dan Joos

Owner, Personal Trainer

Dan has many years of experience training people to reach their goals. After his introduction to the Bay Area, he joined Foothill College and then Santa Clara University as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Men's Water Polo. At Santa Clara University, Dan's program helped to propel them to top 20 in the nation.

With a foundation in functional training, Dan expanded to working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds and founded Personal Trainers of Los Altos in 1998. At the gym today, Dan trains high school athletes, medical doctors and their families, seniors, ex-professional athletes, Olympic hopefuls and many others. As a testament to Dan's abilities, the majority of his current clients have been training with him for 8 years or more.

Dan has accumulated a wealth of knowledge from such leading experts as Paul Chek of the Chek Institute, Pavel Tsatsouline and Mark Reifkind of RKC, and Dr. Mel Siff, author of Supertraining.

Dan is one of the very few RKC certified kettlebell instructors in the Bay Area. He is also an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and a member of ACSM.
